The primary job responsibilities of an Executive Protection Specialist are the safety and personal security of the Company CEO, Executive Management, and designated other employees.   These duties include but are not limited to, threat assessment, monitoring of security systems, preplanning activities for regular and special events, coordination with various service providers, and providing close personal protection to the principles as they go about their daily activities. These services may require long hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must be willing to travel worldwide, sometimes on short notice.

Must maintain required certifications and credentials.

        • Candidate must participate in regular training regiments related to their professional and personal proficiency,                 knowledge, and effectiveness in performing their job duties.

Maintaining a valid California concealed weapons permit is a requirement of employment.

This position reports to the Executive Protection Manager.

Executive Protection Security protection to company CEO, Executive Management, or designated employees.

Provide corporate security protection to company CEO, Executive Management, or designated employees.

Mitigate threats and vulnerabilities to Senior Management via investigations, proactive means, site visits,                           preplanning security at events, etc.

Travel with Executives as needed, often on short notice, including extended worldwide travel.

Drive CEO and other Executives as needed.

Liaison with security service providers for enhanced security as required.

Provide emergency first aid/CPR as needed.

Maintain training, firearms qualifications, licensing, and permit requirements.

Assist Corporate Security team with investigations, training, site assessments, etc.

Other duties as directed.

Qualifications

  Training, firearms qualifications, maintain certifications/licenses.

6+ years of law enforcement experience.

3-5 years experience in a Corporate Security environment preferred.

Demonstrated experience in providing Executive Protection duties (Secret Service, State Dept, Military,                               Corporate environment, etc).

Trained in First Aid/CPR and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).

Must possess and have the ability to maintain a California based concealed weapons permit, as a condition of                       hire and employment.

In addition, must have or ability to receive/maintain a California Guard Card and California Guard Exposed                         Weapons Permit.

Trained in defensive driving.

Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of formal education, training and/or experience; industry                             certification preferred.

Complete knowledge of Executive Protection practices (Risk Mitigation, weapons handling, emergency medical                   response, etc.).

Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and                 recommendations from appropriate data sources at the department level.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc, interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written                           communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
