Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for supporting corporate operational security best practices, procedures, and strategies for B&V offices and project sites, worldwide. Supports and contributes to security practices and instructions that facilitate the existing corporate security policy and which will provide a comprehensive security program and services to the corporation. Focus is on protection of persons and then on property.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Support management of risks to personnel, property and information arising from crime, civil disorder, natural disasters, technical failures, activism or terrorism and acts of war in order to minimize their impact on business.

– Conduct international security assessments and evaluations, report findings.

– Support firm-wide business practices for security management that includes asset management/loss prevention, crime prevention, employee/personnel security, travel security, anti-terrorism measures and executive protection.

– Support internet security issues, develop (in conjunction with corporate safety and human resources) a comprehensive workplace violence prevention and education program and provide physical security/vulnerability assessment services to domestic and international construction projects and to clients with existing power, water or process facilities.

– Assist in investigations into actual or alleged crimes against persons or property (including proprietary information) occurring on corporate property, construction sites, or other locations.

– Provision of travel and country threat and security briefings for professionals on long term assignments overseas (Ex-pats) or project personnel traveling overseas.

– Coordinate with local law enforcement and security personnel (office and project locations).

– Alternate Security staffer and advisor for Corporate Business Recovery Task Force and Corporate Emergency Operations Center.

Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice or related area

Experience: Minimum of 5 years security experience. 15-20 years working experience.

Training: CPP certification (or actively pursuing)

Preferred Job Qualifications: Force protection experience/hostile environment experience. Middle East experience.

Experience in developing security and evacuation procedures. Experience in emergency management and contingency planning, proficient in handling international security issues, proficient at multi-tasking, problem solving, and negotiating.
