Jobs: Contingency Special Operations Team, OCONUS

Blackice Security put this one out, and I figured I would get on the band wagon and put it out as well.  My guess is that there will be a huge requirement for bodies on this contract, and many companies are looking at those numbers and making their moves.

As for VxL?  I have never heard of them, so job seekers beware.  They have provided a phone number and email, so feel free to contact them if you have questions.  I would also be curious if any of the readership have some input about the company?

I am not the POC or recruiter for this company, and please follow the directions and links below to apply.  Good luck and let me know how it goes. –Matt

History

VxL was originally formed in 1999. At that time, specializing in international investigations, VxL’s clients included companies such as Oakley and CBS Television. Additionally, VxL aggressively pursued pro-bono investigations in support of missing and exploited children, the collective efforts of which resulted in the reuniting and or repatriotization of 45 children from throughout the world.

After 9/11, the company was placed into stasis while the owners and many of our employees deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. Since the companies return, the structure and pursuits have changed significantly, but the principals upon which we were founded have remained the same.

What We Are

A company with an absolute dedication to providing the highest possible level of service and performance.

A diverse group of professionals with a common goal – to strive for greatness and excel in all that we do.

A Veteran Owned Small Business, dedicated to serving our country and our communities.

A group of individuals, collectively dedicated to core principals of honor and integrity, to the concept of service, and to the fact that sound business practices and values can exist harmoniously.

  1. Avoid these guys like the clap. The majority owner Matt Crouse is a smooth talking used car salesman who'll tell you whatever he can get away with all the while trying to figure out how to cheat and lie to you. They are the subcontractor training cadre for Aegis (who is the Prime on DoS WPS Kabul piece) down in Playas NM. Training is sub-par at best, everything is a short cut to make them money, no oversight from the Prime or DoS on the what's really happening is such a remote place. You don't want to be caught up in it brothers. Stay away from anything having to do with Aegis just because VXL is in the mix. If VXL signs either your paycheck or training cert's you will be in serious trouble at some point. Its not worth it bro's. Peace out pipe hitters

  2. Hey Rico, thanks for your input. By chance, are you working for a competitor of Aegis, or have you worked at or trained under VXL/Aegis?

  3. Worked for VXL for a short period until their bottom-of-the-
deck dealing threw me under the bus. And I wasn't the only guy either. Yes, I have worked for the old guard in the past. Say what you want about the old guard, at least you knew what was happening and how you'd be treated. These fly-by-night basement companies winning these multi-million dollar contracts are scary; esp knowing you could get killed around these ass-clowns. Sorry for sounding so bitter but I guess I am.

  4. I heard some shady stuff about these guys. I have not worked for them myself, but I have been in the business for quit some time. Some of the inside news I heard was stuff like they have their own click, and most likely whatever you get told, you won't get in. VxL is trying to make up numbers with their prime Aegis. I'm not going to take my chance with a back round like that. Now I'm not the sole souce, but do your homework first. There is not much out there about VxL, but you have to dig for it. I know I went and stepped in with a reputable company that has an outstanding backround. But to each is own, make your own journey.

  5. Heard Aegis don't really have the contract. I am looking at one of these companies for employment. If Aegis looses the contract, what will happen with their employees? What does this mean for there sub vxl? Will everyone be out on the streets? Seems like something just ain't right. Does anyone know? Any response is good. I would hate to start with a company and then end up loosing everything. Thank you

  6. I work hand in hand with these gentlemen each day. They are a good group of people that KNOW their stuff when it comes to the WPS program. If you know any of them, you know that they strive for excellence. The students get nothing but top notch training at PRTC. The venues are the closest to real world as there is out there.
if you have something bad to say about them Im sure they would take your phone call to listen to you.
Again each and EVERY person from VxL I have ever had the privledge of meeting or working with has been very professional and knowledgable.

  7. Interesting. I must say, some apparently have a vendetta against the majority owner of this company. I have no doubt there is reason for this…but would add a few comments. I have worked around and for a number of the guys right under this dude. So one could say that my opinion is just as valid. Here goes: the structure of the company is outstanding. The concept (from what I was told and got a chance to see – first hand) is that they ONLY hire top-notch folks – PERIOD. I guess that some feel this as a "click"…and maybe it can be viewed that way. The reality is that its called SELECTION…and if you don't make the grade, you don't come on board. In the proposal it's called "Quality Assurance", and VxL means to live up to it. I've been an I.C. for them, more than once. If you met and worked with the guys teaching WPS in NM, you would know that. Best group of MF's I've been around in quite a while. And that's coming from someone who has been in the private industry for about 8 years, with 10 years in the military SOF community, and been to over 30 countries operational and on contract. If you don't like the dude at the top of the food chain – then keep it between you and him. It's unfortunate he apparently screwed you over man. But – the fellas in PRTC, deserve better than your collective comments about the company. And the guys needing work who consider VxL deserve a more objective opinion. That's professional. That's the right thing to do. Peace out pipe hitters.

  8. Thanks for your input Bob. I was hoping to get some folks that could bring some balance to this discussion. If there are genuine issues, I like to see them brought up. But I also like to give both sides a voice in the matter.

  9. I just want to say what a pleasure it was to have met and become friends with everyone from VxL and AEGIS.  This is a group of men and women who dedicate their lives to training individuals for overseas work.  I worked hand-in-hand with these individuals on a daily basis.
I have never seen such a high level of dedication toward training and teaching the most current highspeed training out on the market today.  Each one of them stive for perfection and expect the same.  Their training is non comparable to any other training organization by far. I have found that they teach from their hearts, wanting only the best for their students and fellow brethren.  This grooup of people truely care about one another and this shows in their exemplary training methods.
It is sad to find out how PTRC sabotaged their training efferts and would not allow them to continue to train at PTRC.  I will tell you from first hand knowledge this had nothing to do with either VxL or Aegis training or methods of training. This was caused by one idotic man from EMRTC with a complex for power.  This man ruined the opertunity to continue great training here, by a great company.  In the future we will all find out the truth and you will all see that it didnt have anything to do with VxL or Aegis in any way.
They always provided the best training and  mentorship each and every day!  Best of luck to VxL and Aegis in the future and Ihope they both keep up the great work and training. Even if they are no longer here at PTRC.
If you ever get a chance to speak to one of these fine gentleman, take a minute and pick their brains and learn all you can from them. They are a wealth of knowledge and give it 100% at all times.
Made some great friends and hope to keep in contact with you all in the future.
    MK

  10. Rico – you obviously did not fit in with the VXL crew. Matt Crouse is a genius and strives for excellence in his work and people. Only the finest are selected and do what they do best. I have worked with these guys in the past and no other group compares. Rock on guys…..
