Specific Job Description Responsibilities as an Executive Protection Officer include driving company executives throughout the DC metropolitan area. Extensive knowledge of the DC metropolitan area is mandatory. The candidate must be able to solve problems in a discreet manner and have the highest ethical standards at all times. Executive Protection Officers are required to work extended hours

and will be required to accompany executives on domestic and international business trips and provide close in protection for company executives. Executive Protection Officers must be in excellent physical shape and have the ability to carry heavy objects such as suit

cases, boxes and other packages in addition to standing for long periods of time, walking long distances and climbing and descending stairs. Emergency medical response may be required and participation in AED/CPR and first aid is required. The Executive Protection

Officer must obtain a Maryland Special Police Commission and concealed weapons permit and stay proficient with their firearm. The applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified

information. This position will work at the Crystal City and Bethesda facilities.

Standard Job Description Provides physical protection and chauffeur duties for top-level executives. Often on call beyond normal working hours to protect and transport executives and visitors to and from corporate facilities, meetings, and special events. Guard top-level executives against potential hazards. May use force of arms to carry out assignments. Requires special state police commission and applicable weapons permit. May perform emergency medical response. Attend annual training for tactical driving, executive protection, first aid and pertinent security related courses. Perform advance trip duties, such as selecting and mapping the appropriate transportation route and coordinating the necessary security provisions with local law enforcement agencies and other security groups. May require domestic and international travel when requested. Responsible for the appearance and operation of the vehicle, ensuring that it receives proper maintenance and service.

Typical Minimums Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and 5 or more years of experience.
