Call To Action: Everybody Draw Mohammad Day–May 20th!

The drawing below that Lars Vilks did, as well as the Mohammad in a bear suit that the guys at South Park/Comedy Central put together, are two prime examples of the kind of stuff that really winds up these extremists.  What’s better, is now there is a holiday being promoted on Facebook that declares May 20th as ‘Everybody Draw Mohammad Day’!  I love it.  And check out how many friends that page has? lol

All I have to say to Al Qaeda and company is that you better sell some more drugs and get some more donations from your rich muslim friends for all of the bounties you are going to have to post, because you are about to get an onslaught of funny Mohammad drawings. -Matt

Call To Action: Everybody Draw Mohammad Day May 20th!

Swede cartoonist Lars Vilks attacked

May 12, 2010

Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, who sparked controversy by drawing Prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog, was on Tuesday attacked while giving a lecture at a university, police said.

“The man was sat in the first row and suddenly he rushed at me. He punched me in the head and I lost my glasses,” said Vilks, adding that at the very most he was “a little bruised”.

Police said around 250 people were present at the time of the attack at the university of Uppsala, north of the Stockholm.

Story here.

From the Facebook Page

In 2005, more than 100 people were killed in “cartoon riots”. Instead of speaking out against this insanity, people of the free world were bullied into the corner and decided that it would be better to appease Islamists with self-censorship under the threat of violence, since there is certainly plenty of evidence that they are more than willing to deliver on their threats. “If you dare portray Mohammad or criticize Islam” – you can end up dead.

The message was clear – and we were willing to give up our rights and forsake our values under the threat of violence from a group of thugs.

In 2010, we reached a new low when Comedy Central has decided to remove any mention of the name “Mohammad” from an episode of South Park, again as result of death threats from people who claim to be followers of a “religion of peace”.

War Art: MNU Truck And Armor From The Movie District 9

I thought this was interesting.  This is the artwork of District 9, and it revolves around the fictional PMC called MNU.  There is also a patch that someone is selling. Like I mentioned before, hollywood is only weaving this industry into the fabric of culture, and you will find similar artwork and merchandising coming out of Avatar. -Matt

War Art: ‘Stovepipe’, a Play About Security Contractors

This is a first, and I wonder how I missed this one with the first production in the UK last April? Although I am sure these plays are both political and kind of dorky, but hey, that’s theater for you. lol  Honestly though, I really can’t comment on this play because I have not seen it.  If any of the readers have seen it, I would love to hear your input on the thing.  I guess one way to look at it, is this play is a historic first for this industry and war. -Matt

Have gun, will travel in Stovepipe

Evening Standard  10.03.09

If we expect to learn about the murky world of private security contractors in Iraq anywhere at all, it’s certainly not in a cavernous basement underneath Morrisons in a Shepherd’s Bush shopping centre. Yet this intriguing found space is just where innovative young producers HighTide, in collaboration with the Bush and National Theatres, have pitched up, for a thrilling promenade performance that walks us through the less salubrious aspects of the post-war Middle East.

Company Spotlight: Illusicam

Hey gang, I am always on the look out for the latest thing, and I came across this cool little company the other day.  They make some really interesting camouflage patterns.  It’s the kind of stuff you won’t see anywhere else. The advantage I see with these patterns, is that there are more varieties for whatever region you are at.  For example, the desert pattern has five separate patterns to choose from.  That makes sense, because not all deserts are the same. The same goes for jungles, woodlands and winter lands, and the unique patterns of this camouflage will give you more choices for these particular areas.  That is good news for hunters, military, contractors and police.

As for using these prints, right now they can be turned into transfers that can be attached to weapons or gear lockers or whatever you want camouflaged. Check it out. -Matt

Funny Stuff: The BA-K-47

gun31Funny Stuff: The BA K 47

April 12, 2009(from the creator of the BA-K-47)

We had our first annual Bacon Day this past Saturday. As a huge fan of bacon, and all the great bacon blogs out there, I decided it was time for me to make my own bacon creation. I came up with the BA-K-47, a 1:1 scale AK-47 made out of bacon. It took a total of eight hours to create, a lot of bacon, and a blowtorch… oh yeah, and our good friend beer helped too.
