Former night-club bouncer, high-risk bodyguard and trainer of bodyguards worldwide, I am now an author, journalist and freelance photographer. I have spent quite a while living and working in Moscow and, although now back residing in the UK, still maintain very close links with this wonderful yet volatile, unique and extremely unpredictable country.

I specialise in writing about true crime, nightclub security and executive protection as well as features and articles about inequality and the difficulty with modern life in The Russian Federation.

I am also a founding member of the recently formed British Bodyguard Association (www.The-BBA.org.uk) and am still occasionally operational - if and when the need arises.

Angela C. Benedict

Angela C. Benedict is an educator, therapist, artist, writer, facilitator, mother, social scientist, researcher and advocate for the wellbeing of soldiers.  She is currently the founder of the Military Healing Center, has her own private therapy practice, continues to design and deliver training programs for survivors of trauma, and is completing her Masters degree in Emergency and Disaster Management.
