Jobs: Team Members-Maritime Security, South Africa

This is cool. Control Risks is opening up shop in South Africa and flying some maritime security positions. This probably coincides with the latest news about South Africa’s view on foreign security companies and maritime security.

Protective Security Specialist
Location: Manhattan area of New York
Reports To: PSD Team Leader??Position Summary: Provide protective security as part of a team and fixed site security in / around Manhattan area of New York.??Position Responsibilities
•    Provide close protection for designated personnel
•    Perform the day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders
Essential Skills and Experience
•    US or UK Citizen
•    Must have a valid US Driver’s License and US Tourist or Official Passport
•    Completed or served at least three years in special operations  or DSS within the last five years.
•    Must be able to deploy immediately (within the next 24-36 hours). If you can’t, please don’t respond to this message.
•    Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
•    Excellent interpersonal and troubleshooting skills
•    Ability to adapt to different cultures, mentalities and circumstances
•    Trauma or advanced first aid training is required
•    Must have no felony or domestic violence conviction. Record of recent recurring misdemeanors may adversely impact candidates’ suitability rating

Fisheries Protection Officers (HF0111112)
Responsibilities typically will fall into two main areas: protection of relevant fisheries and enforcement of pertinent legislation. In regards to fisheries protection, a fishery officer will patrol wild sea fishery habitat, in addition to periodically inspect fishing vessels for adherence to fishing regulations.
The inspections will also serve as data collection for recording annual fishing harvests or documenting the impact of various aquatic species diseases.

Special Maritime Training Team (HF0111111)
We are looking to assemble an international team of 60 men who will recruit, train and deploy in an advisory capacity for the Somali Government in an anti piracy role. The candidates must have a Special Forces, Marine, or other military speciality.
They must have prior experience of training men in Africa and a proven track record of success at doing so. Language ability is a bonus. Ideal Candidates would be from UK, US, EU, or South Africa but will accept the right man from any country.

Jobs: Olympic Security Jobs With G4S, United Kingdom

I thought I would put this out there for the guys across the pond. Although I am sure many have already heard about this and have acted accordingly. What is cool is that over at Close Protection World, it looks like representatives are looking for some security pros who can fill out management positions that pay a little better. The first post below describes what they are looking for and the pay. Use the email provided to send a CV or go to the forum itself to find out more information.

The other articles I posted below describe the enormity of the event. They have to fill 10,000 positions and get background checks on all of them. So lots of work is required to make sure that just the security force is squared away and actually ‘secure’. –Matt

 

Olympic Roles with G4S £12 – £17 Per Hour
3 Main roles are as follows:
Supervisor/Team Leader – £12 Per Hour
1 years security supervisor experience can be as a JNCO in the military.
This has been recruited for on this site and has had an amazing response.
Group Leader – £14 Per Hour
1 Years Management experience can be as a SNCO in the military.
Duty Manager – £17 Per Hour
1 Years Management experience, must have managed over 50 staff, can be SNCO in the military.
