Summary – This full time position is responsible for providing, coordinating and supervising protective services for our corporate client’s senior executives and others as warranted. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Safeguarding Duties: Safeguards principals from all forms of security and safety hazards. · Advance work: Conducts surveys of future sites that principal will visit and various events. Combined domestic and international travel is 50%. · Driver: Acts as primary driver for principal. · Close-in protection: Provides security coverage for principals, guests, and family members in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with policy and procedures.

 · Liaison: Coordinates with internal staff and department heads to accomplish common goals regarding provision of personal assistance and support for principals’ activities. · Communications: Report writing, oral and written briefings. Appropriately communicate with any individual and have a sense of humor. · Certificates and Licenses: Ability to obtain a fire arms permit and carry a firearm. Must have a valid driver’s license. · Investigations:  Conduct investigations of individuals/situations and make recommendations on minimizing any risk of harm to senior executives or others.  Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual also should demonstrate the following competencies: Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Develops alternative solutions; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Supervision – Have demonstrated leadership qualities. Adaptability – Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Judgment – Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions. Qualifications: · BS/BA (preferably in a business or security-related area) or equivalent work experience is required. · Formal training in executive protection and a minimum of two years experience, or a minimum of five years experience in executive protection, is required. Training/instruction skills such as driving, firearms/first aid may be helpful. · Prior plain clothes personnel protection experience with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency is highly desirable. · Broad-based security experience is a plus. · International travel/work experience and foreign language ability are desirable.  RESUME SUBMITTAL Interested and qualified candidates should submit their resumes via this posting on the SMR website
