Podcasts: Boyd Briefing On Organic Design For Command And Control

This is fantastic stuff! I had no idea this existed and if you are a fan of Boyd and mission command, you need to check this out. If you go to this link, or click on the graphic below, it will take you to the website that has this recording that is synced to Boyd’s slide. It also has audience participation in the audio and you get a really good feel on how Boyd would interact with the audience.

A big hat tip to Gahlord of Thoughtfaucet for putting this together. As for an actual download, perhaps someone out there can put it together? Until then, just listen and watch the slides at the Boyd and Beyond site, and enjoy some ‘Leadership and appreciation’!!! –Matt

Edit: 01/04/14 -Notice the theme in this briefing about the importance of having multiple nodes of feedback within your organization, in order to get the proper orientation to make good decisions. It is why Balck ate with his troops–to get feedback that was different than what he was getting in his staff meetings. You do not want a situation where you are getting information from just one source–because that one source could be biased. They could be sucking up to you. You want multiple sources of honest feedback to get a more complete picture. In other words, and this is the point of his lecture, you want to get an ‘appreciation’ for what you have and what is, so that you can apply some sound leadership to the situation. Appreciation and leadership….not command and control.

Legal News: Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Blackwater Bridge Mastermind

This makes me sick.  I hope these guys are able to prove how idiotic this really is by taking it all the way to a court-martial. These three men are heroes, and should be treated as such.  Hell, I should hope that this booger eater got a big fat lip for what he did to those Blackwater men that day.  Despicable.

Also, check out this podcast here about this story. It is an interview between Uncle Jimbo of Blackfive and G. Gordon Liddy. –Matt

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist

Tuesday , November 24, 2009

By Rowan Scarborough

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Podcasts: ‘Long, Hot Summer’ Ahead For U.S. Troops In Iraq

We’ll see how it goes.  I think it is important to note our continuing work, which continues to be ignored by the main stream media, and that we will be impacted by the drawdown as well.  Supplies will still need to be brought in to the camps, and even more security contractors will be needed to haul equipment out along with those standard logistics runs.  And as U.S. troops are shuffled around, the civilian camp security elements will become more important to ‘buffer’ these movements. Oh, and don’t forget the fact that all the facility maintenance is highly dependent on civilian contractors, and without these folks.  These guys are really important when AC units or generators breakdown, or god forbid, any internet networks break down.

Podcasts: G. Gordon Liddy Show Talks with Blackfive Media about Raven 23 Radio Logs

An interview between G. Gordon Liddy Show and Jim Hanson of BlackFive Media in regards to the radio logs of the Blackwater Nisour Square shooting.  The media now has copies of these radio logs, and it is pretty apparent that these guys were being attacked.  Why this is important is that the DoJ has made the claim that these guys were not attacked, and fired on civilians.  The logs and pictures of bullet riddled vehicles will be very helpful to this case.
