Short Job Description : 62976 – 1-Security Specialist I
Primary Function:
Provide static security services. To actively support and uphold the Company’s stated mission and values.
Requirements:
* Four (4) years experience in providing security services to any of the following:
o U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service
o U.S. Secret Service
o U.S. Federal Agencies, e.g., FBI (Former special agents with protective security background)
o Combat Arms branch of military (Special Operations preferred)
o Law enforcement experience (Military Police/Criminal Investigation Division, Emergency Services, Special Weapons, or Tactical Operations type unit of a local or state law enforcement agency preferred)
o Private Security providing Executive/Dignitary Protection or Force Protection services.
* Proficient with M4, Glock 9mm, M249, PKM, and AK47 and be able to qualify on a range
* Ability to pass standard U.S. Army Physical Fitness Test
* Posses valid driver’s license, and able to operate a motor vehicle
* Pass a detailed medical evaluation
* Be between the ages of 24 and 55
* Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 25 pounds and carry heavy objects routinely
* Ability to climb, crawl, crouch, bend, stand for long periods, reach above should level, extend arms at awkward angles, lift, and carry objects
* Understand and acknowledge the Chain of Command
* Other preferred qualifications include:
* One (1) year experience in Iraq or other high threat environment
* Current DoD or MNF-I badge
* Active Secret Security Clearance
* WPPS certified
* Letter of Recommendation from previous employer
* Conservative, military, clean cut type appearance
* Combat Lifesaver equivalent or higher
* Excellent interpersonal written and oral skills
* Has comprehensive family support plan to support long term deployments
Primary Duties:
* Perform the day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders
* Carry and operate weapons as specified in daily post and detail orders, or upon orders from the detail leader or shift leader
* Guard security site against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, illegal entry, exit, and unlawful attacks
* Patrol premises to ensure that the site is properly secured
* Verify and identify employees and other persons entering the site.
* Inspect and properly store equipment
* Develop incident reports of attacks, damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
* Investigate disturbances and in the event of an emergency maintain order and safety of the occupants of the site
* Ensure the guard force under his/her supervision adheres to established SOPs, protocols, and maintains their weapons/equipment in a high operational state
* Be able to identify personal and work related problems of his/her Guard Force under his/her command at an early stage to avoid any operational impact
