Responsibilities – General
*Conduct site security audits and design security protocols for GE Energy projects and service sites in the MEA region.
*Actively participate in crisis management planning and preparedness, decision-making, and communications.
*Assure appropriate loss prevention, fire safety, access control, intrusion detection and alarm systems are in place and maintained.
*Assure that measures to protect employees from criminal or terrorist risks are implemented business-wide. Measures include workplace violence prevention/preparedness, mail screening, suspicious activity reporting, and travel-related security training.
*Investigate all suspected criminal violations, suspicious incidents, and policy violations as appropriate.
*Heighten security awareness and preparedness via periodic training, business-wide communications, and web-enabled tools & postings, as well as conducting routine emergency and CM exercises.
*Maintain security information management tools and databases; coordinate completion of Security self-assessments, and establish/improve security performance indicators/metrics.

Qualifications
Responsibilities – Iraq Specific
*Assisting Energy commercial and operations teams with developing their business plan and project approach for working in Iraq. This will include liaison with the relevant agencies in Iraq such as the Ministry of Energy, MNF-I, USEMB, MNSTC-I and the EFC.
*Collating tactical and strategic intelligence for Iraq in general and the GE Energy site areas specifically. This will involve the dissemination of intelligence reports to the GE personnel in Iraq, the relevant project management and the Energy Risk Council.
*Tasking the chosen security provider to deliver threat and risk assessments of GE Energy project sites and conducting pre-mobilization security assessments. Security shortfalls are to be identified to the project management and the risk council so that a solution can be in place to enable GE Energy deployment.
*Coordinate the pre-deployment training process of GE Energy personnel heading to tasks in Iraq.
*Coordinate the security transportation of GE Energy personnel between project sites in Iraq and the airhead used for their entry/exit.
*Account for GE Energy personnel in- country and ensure that GE policies regarding travel, firearms and Personal Protective Equipment were being adhered to.
*Informing GE Energy’s EHS HQ and the Iraq project management of any security related issues that would impact on a project or expose GE personnel to risk.
*Support coordination, development and administration of Iraq security and crisis management plans and programs for GE Energy’s business. Plans and programs include physical, technical, and personnel security, asset & loss prevention, international travel safety/security, workplace violence prevention, and emergency management.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree
*5+ years experience in corporate security and/or law enforcement
*5+ years experience in International safety/security planning
*Crisis Management and Emergency preparedness planning expertise

*Strong government security contacts
*Regional security experience in Iraq since 2003
*Arabic speaker (preferred)
