Requirements: The SAIC Operations, Intelligence and Security Business Unit has an opening for a Force Protection Officer (FPO) in Kabul, Afghanistan.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will perform force protection for the entire SAIC team deployed to both the CFC and the MoI/CNPA facilities. The individual will have force protection experience and will have access to equipment, data, and networks required to perform job functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide all forms of security and individual force protection to the entire Cambridge team (three intelligence analysts and two analyst-linguists during their
deployment period).
•Provide travel protection to SAIC team members as they travel within Afghanistan, including but not limited to daily travel between the CFC-A and MoI/CNPA locations.
•Provide security awareness briefings and on-going, informal security training to team members.
•Assist in developing personnel force protection procedures for team in conjunction with on-site CENTCOM/Government host personnel direction.
•Recommend physical security upgrades at the MoI/CNPA IFC to protect the human and technical resources.
•Provide all force protection equipment/weapons necessary to accomplish the mission.
•Coordinate with SAIC and the Government for weapons registration, storage, transport, and use.
•Utilize experience in intelligence analysis, law enforcement, AND/or counter narcotic efforts to establish operational processes to enhance security of the Cambridge Team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•5+ years experience in relevant force protection security.
•Be trained and experienced in the use of firearms and other force protection measures.
•Cognizant and able to comply with all force protection policies set forth by US CENTCOM.
•Must currently possess and maintain an active TOP SECRET security clearance.
Must be a US Citizen with at least five years military service with SOF unit/organization with lowest rank of E-5 and highest of E-9. TS/SCI Security Clearance Required.
