OK… Ive just perused several articles here at "FJ" and I see a trend here concerning maritime security and other aspects of the security sector. I have been thinking and saying this for some time now and I can see that I am not the only one who thinks this way.
Maritime Security…. Why not let independant security firms such as Blackwater and others become the highly trained speacialists you need onboard these ships. It seems like a simple solution to a growing problem.
I don't want to make this to long winded hence creating my own blog on this whole deal, but I have one more point to make.
Mercenary??
Dictionary meaning…. is someone who is motivated by a desire for monetary or material gain. Hired for service in a foreign army.
I whole heartedly believe that our security firms out there are not part of this meaning of the word Mercenary and hate it when I see them compared to this.
I may not be part of any group out there, but I am in the military and have served in Iraq. I have nothing but respect for those of you who choose to put their lives on the line and I have allways said that If you save my ass, I will save yours in the time of need!!

Thanks for the comments, and thanks for your service. You brought up some excellent points, and especially in regards to backing one another up in time of need. Being 'Over there', is all about survival and helping one another out.
