Bounties: $10,000 Reward For Information On Missing Energy Executive Doug Schantz

Alright, lets find this guy.  The reward is split in half, with $5,000 from Crimestoppers of New Orleans and the other $5,000 coming from Sequent Energy Management. As this thing drags out, I am sure we will see this reward get bigger.

It also sounds like police suspect foul play, and it will be interesting what other information comes out of any future investigations.  So for you guys that live in New Orleans, or in the south in general, this would be a good one to go after. Good luck and happy hunting. –Matt

Houston Energy Executive Missing in New Orleans

08 Mar 2010

CHRIS STIPES

HOUSTON – Michael Schantz is hitting the streets of New Orleans to find his father.

Katy resident Doug Schantz, 54, disappeared Friday morning at approximately 2 a.m. after leaving a Bourbon Street bar. His credit cards and ATM card have not been used which is making New Orleans police suspect foul play.

“I’m just, you know, still in a little bit of shock. I just want to reach out, you know, to the city of New Orleans, the City of Houston, just please, help me find my father,” said Michael Schantz.Doug Schantz is the president of Sequent Energy Management in downtown Houston. He was visiting New Orleans with several employees to make a donation to his daughter’s university, Tulane.

But Schantz never showed up for the flight home.

“We want to find Doug. Doug is a dear friend to all of us. He’s built the company from nothing to 150 people. He is a true leader, a true friend,” said Sequent Energy Management employee Peter Tumminello.Co-workers and friends of the married father of three gathered in Katy on Sunday at the family’s upscale home to hope and pray for a safe return.

Man, will someone grab this guy?  There are still a whole slew of these war criminals still floating around from the Rwandan genocide days, and they all have bounties too.  Hopefully any of my African readers will jump on this, and I will be crossing my fingers for you. This would also be a good one for the Bounty Hunter Mobile App. if it existed. Good luck and happy hunting guys and gals.  –Matt

Alleged Rwandan genocide financier still in Kenya: US

February 09, 2010

ARUSHA — The alleged financier of the Rwandan genocide, Felicien Kabuga, is still in Kenya, notwithstanding government declarations to the contrary, US diplomat Stephen Rapp said Tuesday on a visit to Arusha.

“I’m going to Nairobi tomorrow to talk to the Kenyan authorities about the arrest of Kabuga, who is still in Kenya,” Rapp, US extraordinary ambassador on war crimes, told AFP during a visit to the Tanzanian city of Arusha.

“We have intelligence indicating Kabuga is in Kenya,” said Rapp, who made the same claim late last year.

Rapp on Tuesday discussed the same issue with officials of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), which is based in Arusha, including tribunal president Dennis Byron and prosecutor Hassan Bubacar Jallow.

Kabuga is the most wanted of 11 genocide suspects sought by the ICTR and still on the run. The United States has placed a five-million-dollar bounty on his head.

Bounties: $50,000 For The 20 Questions Bandits And $10,000 For The Blue Note Bandit, California

I hope these thugs get caught, and it would be really cool if it was a FJ reader.  It’s stuff like this, where a Bounty Hunter Mobile Application would totally shine.  Both Bank of America and Wells Fargo could have easily signed on with mobile application, and updated the last known position as tips and information come in.  It would be a way for their investigators to basically crowd source Southern California and the US in order to get these guys. –Matt

Haiti: Warlord ‘Blade’ Broke Out Of Prison With 3000 During Quake

Boy, if there was any a reason to call up some serious bounty hunter types to find this guy, now would be it.  All of these criminals will only add to the chaos and heartache of the city. Especially guys like Blade, because you know that jackass is going to take advantage of this disaster.

In this case, you could set up a bounty hunting program, and put a price on each criminal’s head for capture.  I think this would be pretty effective once everyone is getting fed and has water, and are looking for ways to fix their city and establish order. Of course a prison needs to be set up as well.  I would classify this as a priority during the recovery phase of this operation.

On that note, Sheriff Joe Arpaio has the idea I am thinking of for these guys.  Set up a tent city for these prisoners, and use the prisoners to clean up the city or unbury the bodies for future identification.  Because putting bodies in pits now is an expedient, but eventually those bodies will have to be accounted for. The clean up is going to require everyone.

The other one that bothers me, are the mentally unsound criminals who abused, murdered or raped innocents to earn their incarceration. Undoubtedly, these types will thrive in an environment like this, and they must be hunted down and stopped. Pffft. –Matt

Warlord Blade broke out of prison with 3000 during quake

January 18, 2010

The thousands of gang members who escaped from Haiti’s main prison when the earthquake struck have added to the security difficulties in the country.

More than 3000 inmates broke free on Tuesday, including gangsters who once ruled the country’s largest slum with violence and intimidation.

They stole guns from prison guards at the National Penitentiary and went straight to the collapsed justice ministry to set it on fire and destroy any records of their incarceration or criminal history.

PMC 2.0: Giving The Bounty Hunter Mobile Application Life–Zynga, MapItApps, And Raytheon

Ok, this is a challenge to Zynga and MapItApps or even Raytheon.  I have laid out the concept of the Bounty Hunter Mobile Application or BMHA, and all of these companies are the ones who could actually give life to it.

You might have heard about the first company, through their very famous website games like Mafia Wars or Farmville. (man, do you guys like playing those games, cause I am always getting some message about one or the other on Facebook)  They are called Zynga, and they have the capability to do some very interesting things.  My idea with the BHMA. is to use a game to promote the application and the act of finding things or people.  Imagine if there was a Bounty Hunter game, and every widget posted to a Facebook or Myspace page, had a link to the BHMA?  Imagine if the faces or things were intermixed within the fabric of the game, thus reinforcing the visual memory of these things and people.  Instead of using some digital cartoon to represent something in the game, you actually use a picture of a most wanted individual.  You get the idea, but the main goal of this game, is marketing. You could do something similar with games like Call of Duty or Rainbow Six, and just make the various bad guys in the games, real.
