Overview-Shift Advisor
A five member Security Advisory Team is assigned to work with the Liberian Special Security Service’s (SSS) Presidential Protective Detail to assist in the professional development of senior SSS personnel; to mentor mid-level SSS managers; to develop systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the SSS; and assist in identifying promising SSS officers for advancement to mid and senior ranks. Advisors will provide leadership, management and supervisory oversight in areas of operations, training, personnel decisions, and disciplinary procedures. The Advisory team is not to serve in any operational capacity, but rather to act as advisors.
