Dang – this isn’t on in Asia yet, has anyone seen it?
Is it as good as Band of Brothers?

Hi Matt,
Sadly, we don't get HBO in SOuth Africa but I loved Band of Brothers and if this is half as good, it will be great to watch. Hopefully, I will catch it one day on DVD.

Eeben

Hey guys. I think the release date is March 14. So it will be a bit before it gets to DVD. I will be looking forward to the film as well, if it is anything like Band of Brothers. Unfortunately I don't have HBO either. lol -matt
Any idea how one can get to see BoB. I wonder how long it will take to come out over here in SA

Graeme,
No idea. I really want to see this thing now. I just watched the short biography of Robert Leckie, the author of Helmet For My Pillow, and it was great. It sounds like Hanks and Spielberg are rallying around Leckie and his experience for the series, and that is awesome.
On another note, I have been watching the WW 2 in HD series, and all those color films of the war, and how they put it all together, was stunning. Really cool footage to say the least. -matt
