I wanted to get this up so guys can jump on these opportunities. Wackenhut is an old hand at this disaster response security stuff. They also pay alright. The second company below is a new one to me, and if anyone has anything on them, I would be interested. With that one, apply at your own risk. Hopefully I can get some feedback on that company.
Please follow the links below to apply for these jobs, and I am not the POC or recruiter. Good luck out there, and if I find any more jobs I will make the edit and add them to this post. –Matt

Donna,
Thanks for the information. This will help out those who are looking for work with your company during this disaster. If any changes come up, let us know in the comments.
This post will maintain a high search rating in Google for your company and for hurricane security work. So this is a good place for you to get the word out.
I should also mention that this post will also be a place for security contractors to voice their concerns about your company, or any company out there during this time period. I guess my point is that there is an incentive here to treat your people right, or my readership and the public will hear about it on this blog. I am not saying that your company will do that, it's just that is what this blog is all about.
Good luck and I hope things go well for your company. -matt

Greetings,
This is Jessi with All Protection & Security. Thank you so much for posting our listing here! I thought I would take a minute to give you some information about our company and to ensure you that we are indeed a real company.
We are based in Orlando, FL, where we are well known for security, investigative and EP services.
You probably haven't heard of us on a national level because the majority of our national and international projects are high threat situations requiring discretion and client confidentiality. Currently, we have active projects in 3 countries.
We've also provided subcontract services for larger, better known companies (WSI being one of them). Our disaster security experience and our rapid response system enable us to mobilize and deploy much faster than larger, more cumbersome companies.
Currently, we're recruiting for disaster security deployment. We have a private client with 3,000 major medical facilities nationwide that must remain open during and after a storm, regardless of whether the power is on or not. Generators operate their medical equipment, but not their alarm system. Therefor, we staff armed guards until the power comes back on and the community is stabilized around them.
You can check out our websites- http://www.allprotectionandsecurity.co will give you a good overview of all of the services we offer. There are also news clips of our CEO Donna Smith, as a national security consultant on FoxNews and MSNBC.
To apply for a position, visit http://www.disaster-security.com and click on employment.
Thanks again for listing our ad!

I am looking at these ads and they all require current security license in each state. I am a full time peace officer in the State of Texas. Here they allow us to do security so I was wondering if any of these states allow same thing, I would like to hire on and deploy with a company.

Ryan, the best thing you can do is to contact the companies directly. They might have a provision where if you are a law enforcement officer, that a guard card would not be required. But I don't know for sure, so just call them or email them. Let us know how it goes?
