Technology: Update, New Strategy Page Widget on FJ

Boy, I like these widgets, and I thought Strategy Page was a good one to set up(scroll down below to check it out). These things are easy to make, and anyone can grab them and put them on their website, myspace, facebook, or whatever you want to put them on.  Just hit the ‘get widget’ tab, copy the code for your site, and paste it where ever you want.      These things are handy little information blocks, and really help to zero in on the stories of the day. Plus, they are a great way to promote a blog or site.  Feral Jundi has it’s own widget for anyone that wants it as well. I know people that just set up the widget on their social network site, so they can check emails and check out FJ briefly.  It’s a good little time saver, and you can click on the titles in the widget, and it will take you straight to the source.  –Head Jundi

Cool Stuff: New Ad for Feral Jundi at Secure Aspects Job Board

Hey, this is some cool news.  I am now starting to advertise Feral Jundi, and expand our community. So our first ad is at the Secure Aspects Job Board. We’ll see how it goes, and I look forward to meeting more folks over at all the network sites(Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) or here on the blog in the comments and contact form sections.

Here is the ad and let me know what you guys think. I thought it was pretty funny, and rather Feral Jundi-ish.  If anyone else has ideas for a cool ad, I am always open to suggestions.

I would also like to thank Frank over at Secure Aspects for all that he has done.  Frank’s site, is a forum and a job board.  To access his job board costs very little, yet it has a very big potential for return, if you get a job.  He has put a ton of work into that thing, and it is a great resource.   –Head Jundi

Technology: Feral Jundi has a Facebook and Linkedin Page

Now I have added a Facebook and LInkedin page for Feral Jundi.  I think that is about all I will do.  Oh, and on the Facebook page, I made a Feral Jundi application for the blog.  It is pretty cool, and anyone can download it on their Facebook page if they want.

Oh, and I also added those to the button list to the right of this post.  Just click on any of those buttons, and it will take you right to a Feral Jundi page.  –Head Jundi

Technology: Feral Jundi has a Myspace Page

And to go along with the Twitter theme of making Feral Jundi more accessible, I have decided to set up a Myspace page.  It will be interesting to see what transpires from this.  If you have a Myspace, we are located at http://www.myspace.com/feraljundi  or you can do a search for Feral Jundi.  I would be curious to see how many guys link to FJ on Myspace, who are current readers. I will also blog a little on the Myspace page, and connect that to Twitter as well.  And for the guys that purely Myspace, I set up a Feral Jundi Widget on the myspace page to check out.

For those that do not have a Myspace page, no worries.  It’s  not for everyone.  But in reality, Myspace is highly used by today’s troops and contractors.  It is a fun place to hang out on, for the most part.  But like I said, it isn’t for everyone and it gets kind of spammy there sometimes. News: Feral Jundi Update – Small Wars Journal and Defense Industry Daily Widgets

I wanted to add two new widgets to FJ for everyone to check out if they want.  One is the Defense Industry Daily and the other one is Small Wars Journal(which Nagl is one of the contributing authors of).  If the readership would like to see any other widgets, I am open for suggestions.

And by the way, the way these widgets work, is that they are miniature RSS(Really Simple Syndication) readers.  Every time that website or blog updates and adds new information, my widgets read that and post it.

So like I have mentioned before, keep an eye on them, because new jobs or news or important industry stuff comes in all the time.

You can also grab these widgets for yourself and put them up on your Myspace, Facebook, websites or whatever, and check them out on your own site.  They are great for adding content to your site.

Also, I have a Feral Jundi widget available for anyone if they are interested. And at this time, about 12 readers have set up this widget on their websites.  If you would like further instructions about these things,  let me know and I will hook you up. –Head Jundi
