Technology: Update, New Strategy Page Widget on FJ

Boy, I like these widgets, and I thought Strategy Page was a good one to set up(scroll down below to check it out). These things are easy to make, and anyone can grab them and put them on their website, myspace, facebook, or whatever you want to put them on.  Just hit the ‘get widget’ tab, copy the code for your site, and paste it where ever you want.      These things are handy little information blocks, and really help to zero in on the stories of the day. Plus, they are a great way to promote a blog or site.  Feral Jundi has it’s own widget for anyone that wants it as well. I know people that just set up the widget on their social network site, so they can check emails and check out FJ briefly.  It’s a good little time saver, and you can click on the titles in the widget, and it will take you straight to the source.  –Head Jundi

News: Feral Jundi Update – Small Wars Journal and Defense Industry Daily Widgets

I wanted to add two new widgets to FJ for everyone to check out if they want.  One is the Defense Industry Daily and the other one is Small Wars Journal(which Nagl is one of the contributing authors of).  If the readership would like to see any other widgets, I am open for suggestions.

And by the way, the way these widgets work, is that they are miniature RSS(Really Simple Syndication) readers.  Every time that website or blog updates and adds new information, my widgets read that and post it.

So like I have mentioned before, keep an eye on them, because new jobs or news or important industry stuff comes in all the time.

You can also grab these widgets for yourself and put them up on your Myspace, Facebook, websites or whatever, and check them out on your own site.  They are great for adding content to your site.

Also, I have a Feral Jundi widget available for anyone if they are interested. And at this time, about 12 readers have set up this widget on their websites.  If you would like further instructions about these things,  let me know and I will hook you up. –Head Jundi

Job Tips: Two New Job Board Widgets to Check Daily

In my never ending goal of providing a service to the reader, I have produced a couple of widgets(little information blocks on the right side of the site) in regards to two really great job resource sites.  One is the Secure Aspects Job Board, and the other is the GWOT Job Boards.

The way to use these two new tools, is constantly check them when you visit this blog.  It’s as easy as scrolling down a bit, and making a quick visual check on any new offerings.  I think this will be a big hit for you guys, and I hope you enjoy.

The only catch with these job boards, is that you have to register to get all the information about those jobs.  Like I have said before,  I think the Secure Aspects Job Board is a great value, for the money.(ten dollars a month).  You can also just do a month to month deal, if that is more your style.  I say subscribe to the service until you get the job you are looking for.  Or hang on to the service, and always keep up to date on the most current jobs available to our particular industry.

The GWOT Job Board is an excellent resource as well, and that service is free at this time.

Now if you want the code for these widgets, because you would like to put them on your own website or whatever, let me know, and I will hook you up.  And witht these two new features of the site, I will also be able to focus on finding job stuff that these boards have not posted.

Also, I am not working for either web sites.  All I am doing is promoting some really good resources, and trying to add value to your precious time you spend on Feral Jundi.  And overall, my goal is to provide news and job direction to you the reader.  Well, take care and happy job hunting out there.  –Head Jundi
