Role Summary/Purpose: To conduct investigations for the Corporate Security Department. This investigative responsibility includes the Universal City Campus, the Burbank campus and related, remote television stations and Universal Studios Hollywood. To coordinate essential investigative activities with the Information Technology Department as appropriate. To coordinate investigations as necessary, with outside private agencies and public sector departments. Provide detailed reports, on the investigative function.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for all assigned investigations on the NBC Universal properties, including Universal Studios, NBC Burbank and television stations in San Jose and San Diego, as well as, Universal Studios Hollywood.
Participate in the investigative functions related to the Corporate Security Department.
Prepare investigative reports for the Director and Manager or other appropriate Corporate Officers.
Coordinate with related on-going investigations, prepare appropriate reports and files, and prioritize workflow.
Assist with special projects as assigned; prepare complex and sensitive reports.
Represent Corporate Security, and oversee the security function, on the Tonight Show on a daily basis. Regularly meet with Conan O’Brien’s staff to evaluate and coordinate any security related issues. Observe and evaluate the show security daily.
Assist in preparation of the assigned Departmental Budget.
Participate in a variety of security and investigative professional organizations.
Maintain the existing high level of cooperation and collaboration between the Corporate Security Department and the surrounding Law Enforcement agencies.
Maintain close contact with those agencies investigating stalking and celebrity threat cases.
Represent Corporate Security on the IT Security Intrusion team.
Provide liaison with the IT Security department.
Assist in protective support as required, including executive protection for key personnel as needed
Be able to work closely with a variety of departments particularly Human Resources, Legal, and Finance.
Assist other members of the Corporate Security Department as needed.
Posses, or be able to obtain, a valid State of California Concealed Weapons Permit.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Posses strong computer related capability.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
BS/BA Degree preferred.
Successful candidate is preferred to have successfully completed a minimum of twenty (20) years in a number of increasingly responsible positions in Law Enforcement or a related, applicable profession.
Must have demonstrated and been recognized for, above average performance, during his/her career.
