International Police Advisor – Haiti Emergency Relief
Job Summary:
On January 12, 2010, a major earthquake caused extensive damage and loss of life in Haiti. The U.S. government is currently mobilizing military and civilian personnel to assist the government of Haiti in recovery and rebuilding efforts in the aftermath.
Minimal Qualificiations:
• Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be at least 26 years of age
• Must have a combined total of eight(8) years work experience, with at least five(5) years experience as a state sworn certified civilian police officer with a full service civilian police agency.
• Medically and mentally fit to perform duties in a tropical environment.
• Prior police with in-theater experience, preferably in Haiti, Africa UN Mission, Iraq or Afghanistan with DynCorp International Free Zone.
• Prior military preferred in the US Marines as the HNP have a healthy respect for the US Marines.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated ability at written reporting.
• Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability at problem solving with a high tolerance for limited supervision or direction.
