Location: Various sites at US bases throughout Afghanistan
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform duties and responsibilities related to providing Security Services in support of current US Military operations in the Afghanistan Area of Operations (AOR).
The (Security Officer, Entry Control) performs routine duties in an outdoor environment under a covered shelter, providing entry control to US military installations and other government faculties. This is non-armed position, responsible for Authorized Access ID Card verification using biometrics to validate the identity of personnel.
This is a customer service position that requires a courteous attitude and high degree of professionalism, dealing with a variety of nationalities and cultures. Work is performed in a fast paced environment with service provided to an international customer base.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following.
Specific Tasks:
1. Work primary Entry Control Point for installation
2. Control entry and exit of personnel
3. Operate Biometric toolkit, used for identity verification
4. On a rotational basis, serve as a backup for the Biometric Processing Clerk at the Badging and Screening Office.
General Tasks:
1. Operate Biometric Tool Kit
2. Data entry into DOD and corporate computer systems
3. Perform word processes and other clerical functions
4. Submits reports
5. Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Candidates must be computer literate and capable of operating general office equipment, pass and id systems, cameras, fingerprinting and biometric scanning equipment
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Mechanical: Camera, laminator, typewriter, Biometric Automated toolset, Biometric collection equipment. Data Processing: Computer and peripheral devices.

Experience Requirements:
Required Experience:
Two full years of experience within the last five years in:
a.) Military (Intelligence, Military Police or similar related field), or
b.) Department of Corrections, or
c.) Law enforcement, or
d.) Security Field
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Two years in a related field
Education: High School graduate (minimum)
Passport: Must possess a current, valid US Passport
Drug Free: Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Criminal Background: Must pass a federal background check with no derogatory information
Health: Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, able to pass a medical and mental evaluation and free of any disabilities that would prevent them from performing their duties in an overseas environment under austere conditions.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret (Mandatory within 90 days of hire).
